The Faculty Mentor Program Lunch will be held January 14, 2014, from 12-1:30pm in the Faculty Club. Please be sure to contact your mentors to save the date so that both of you can join us for this event! A raffle for free lunches will also take place during the event.

Dr. Katherine Spindler, University of Michigan, will speak about LAUNCH Committees, which provide support and guidance to new junior faculty as they begin their careers. Committees meet with the new faculty member from the time of hire until the end of the first year.

Ms. Cori Flam Meltzer, FIU Executive-in-Residence, will give a special presentation on how women and men often negotiate very differently – and get different results. She will examine traditional stereotypes as well as six ways women can better represent themselves with authority and confidence.
