Grant Writing: Habits of Highly Effective Grantees

Image Faculty who write successful NIH grant proposals know how to prepare a top-grade and convincing grant. This mini-course will provide an overview of these essential topics for preparing a competitive proposal. Aimed at junior faculty who are new to grant writing, Dr. Winters will address the following topics: NIH grant mechanisms; application components; maximizing your application’s competitiveness; preparing budgets; the review process; and next steps after your grant is reviewed. Also, plans for an advanced grant writing program sponsored by the Research Office and Graduate School will be described.
